We run an appointments system. Some appointments are available to be booked in advance, but there are more available for people to ring on the day they wish to be seen. There are more appointments available in the mornings as we have more doctors available.
We aim to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice, but if their list is full or they are away then we will offer you an appointment with another doctor.
During busy periods, especially holidays times, the doctors can get booked up very quickly and there may be a shortage of available appointments. In that case you may be asked to ring back on another day if your problem is not urgent.
Extended Hours of Service
On Mondays we also offer extended surgery appointments from 7am until 8am and 6.30pm until 9.45pm. These can only be booked in advance and are especially suitable for those patients who find it difficult to attend in normal surgery hours due to work commitments. The surgery reception and phone lines are not open at this time.
On Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays one of the doctors runs a telephone consultation surgery. If you feel your problem can be dealt with over the phone and would like to book one of these appointments please tell the receptionist.
If you feel your problem is urgent and you need to be seen the same day please let the receptionist know.
Please try to ring before 10am if you would like to be seen the same morning. If you wish to be seen in an afternoon and there are no pre-bookable appointments left you will be asked to ring back at 2 pm on the day you wish to be seen.
